Dreame, the market leader in online literature, recently launched the 2022 Writer Benefits Program. The program includes a significant upgrade in bonuses, publication and adaptation, honor and promotion.
“In 2022, with our continuous effort in expanding approaches, we will provide our writers with much more book publications and adaptation opportunities. Dreame will also offer comprehensive writing courses, global contests, high-profile media exposure,” says CEO Alan Fu.
Dreame contributed over $10 million in writer’s benefits alone in 2021, with the Writers’ Benefits Program providing additional rewards for their original creations.
As one of the biggest online literature communities with tens of millions of users, Dreame values original creations and aims to build an open, vibrant, and diverse ecosystem for global storytellers on one platform.
According to Fu, Dreame was conceived as a global centrifuge for creativity, bringing together content by creators of all kinds in various genres and themes.
“They are empowered to produce high-quality works of literature, audiobooks, films, dramatic series, webcomics and various other entertainment products,” he adds.
Dreame is a reading platform for web fiction and online literature targeted towards a global audience but also offers audiobooks, interactive games, webcomics and a wide range of IP development and operation services for creators.
A mere three years after its debut, there are more than 300 thousand original stories on Dreame and the platform is available in over 100 countries spanning 20 languages. Dreame is now trademarked in Singapore, the Philippines, New Zealand, and the European Union in categories 9 and 41.
“Dreame’s success showcases the potential of online original stories, indicating an upcoming trend towards the markets of web fiction,” says Alan.
The platform provides new ways for writers to monetize their books and strives to build a community where novel lovers can write, read and share great content. Users can upload their work for free, and if a book is recognized by Dreame’s editors and liked by readers on the platform, it will be offered a contract, including writing funds, among other perks.
At the same time, for writers whose books have met the qualified requirements, the later portions of their work will be listed as “Pay-to-read” chapters, allowing readers to support their favorite writers by unlocking these chapters with bonus coins (a virtual currency on Dreame) contributing to writers generating additional revenue.
According to their team, Dreame aims to grow as a global entertainment company staffed by zealous young people experienced in the operation of reading platforms.
“Dreame has established partnerships with relevant entities globally to explore new opportunities in the adaptation of literary works into a plethora of entertainment products in a closed-loop creation ecosystem that supports multi-language and frequent interaction.“
